Alaska Salmon Fishing
Hello everyone, yesterday I fished the Little Susitna river with 5 clients in the morning. The bite was very slow and most of the fisherman on the river only returned to the boat launch with 3 or 4 silver salmon. Their is no reason for this but that is the way it goes sometimes.

Today I fished the Little Susitna for silver salmon and it was a very good day. The silvers we caught were between 10 to 12 pounds and we lost several other fish and had many other bites.

I will be fishing the Little Susitna for silver salmon tomorrow and by the way the BAG LIMIT WAS RAISED TO 3 (THREE) SILVER SALMON PER PERSON. THIS IS GREAT NEWS. Talk to you soon, Norm.

Almost jumped in the boat
The silvers are still coming. Even with the increased pressure of all the extra boats, the trips have been really exciting. Some big fish coming to the boat, around 12 lbs. With the rain coming, I am sure some of the fish wil be moving, but there a lot of fish coming in to take their place.

Bait Day on the Little Su
The past couple of days have been really good, morning trips have been coming back with full limits. Spinners were still working just fine. Hot pink being the main color. The water has been dropping but the conditions have been discolored due the boat traffic. My last trip with spinners was yesterday. A family from Iowa came out in the afternoon and caught some really nice silvers. The biggest was 14.5 lbs, it was a brute. A very nice silver.

This morning was bait day. There were a lot of silvers caught. I took out two trips, with a total of 22 silvers landed. Most of the fish were in the 10 lb range with a couple breaking the 12 lb barrier. Tomorrow should be just as good.

Fishing is still goood...
We had a pretty good morning, it started out a bit slow, but it heated up quick. We landed 8 nice silvers and 1 big chum. The river had some serious traffic on it, but what can you expect for the weekend. I am taking tomorrow off, but will be back on the river Monday. The silvers were hitting the spinners pretty soft, but when we switched to plugs, they hammered them hard. See you on the river.

Still good fishing
The water has dropped and it is still doing so, it is still discolored, but that is due to the increased boat traffic. The mornings are still really good, but the afternoon got a little tough. We got our fish, but it took a bit of work. The fish are still there, but the bite was a little slow. The clouds are due back, so the afternoons should pick back up.

Silver fishing is goood!
Don’t know if I can describe how good the fishing is. Even with the water high and discolored, the silvers are jumping in the boat.
Even the afternoon trips are great, We had a trip today that took about 2 hours to land 10 nice silvers. And the weather was absolutely one of the nicest days we have had all summer. Looking forward to seeing you on the river.

Alaska Silver Salmon Fishing
Hello everyone, today I fished with 2 clients this morning and we did great. The water was muddy and it did not look like good fishing conditions. However, the fishing was great and everyone went home with their silver salmon.

Kevin also had out 2 clients and they all caught their silver salmon. We were using our Susitna Slayer spinners in Hot Pink and the silvers loved them.

Kevin will be fishing tomorrow afternoon and he will let you know how they did. I will be leaving the country until Sept. 4th. I will be back catching silvers and moose hunting during my stay at home for 5 weeks. Talk to you soon, Norm.
